Course organisation
With our Master's in Management, you will graduate with a Master of Science degree in 21 months.
The programme starts at the beginning of September each year. The first two semesters take place at the WHU campus in Vallendar. The six core electives provide essential tools and knowledge across general management, which you can complement by choosing six more elective courses from a portfolio of about 50 options.
After your first two semesters at WHU, you will do a mandatory internship in Germany or abroad.
After the internship, you will spend one semester abroad at one of WHU's more than 200 partner universities around the world. Subsequently, you will start with your Master's thesis.
Some of our Master's students may choose the double degree option. They will spend two semesters abroad at selected partner universities and earn a full second degree, usually an MBA degree, in addition to the MSc degree from WHU.

Academic admission requirements
For the Master's in Management, applicants should have a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in business or economics, and no more than two years of postgraduate work experience. Applicants should show personal commitment, be passionate about collaboration, and possess excellent English language skills. Our admission requirements include:
- Bachelor's degree in business or economics from an accredited institution (listed as "H+" on Anabin)
- Practical experience - minimum of 12 weeks of internship(s) or equivalent; 20 weeks recommended, and no more than two years of postgraduate work experience
- International experience (recommended)
- GMAT (minimum 555), GRE (minimum 158 verbal and 158 quantitative), or GTEBS (in English, minimum 102)
- Proof of English proficiency (details below)

If your application passes the first part of our selection process, you will be invited to the video-recorded interview round via Kira Talent. Kira Talent is an online video interview platform that enables the candidates to record themselves answering our interview questions.
As the last step in the application process, you will be invited to a personal interview online.
Language requirements
As the teaching language is English, applicants have to provide proof of their English skills.
WHU accepts the following tests and results:
- TOEFL iBT test with an overall score of at least 100 (WHU Code: 0682)
- IELTS (academic) with an overall score of at least 7.0
- We also accept the TOEFL iBT Special Home Edition that you can take online.
Exceptions are made for native English speakers or applicants who have earned a first academic degree from a programme taught entirely in English.

Vallendar and the surrounding area offer excellent accommodation opportunities, ranging from private apartments to halls of residence, right up to "last-minute beds". Rent varies from 250 to 600 EUR, including heating.

Location
WHU's study programmes are offered from two campuses in Vallendar and Düsseldorf. The Master's in Management is offered at our Vallendar campus.
The Vallendar campus is nestled in the Upper Middle Rhine Valley, a 65km stretch on the Rhine River recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Teeming with historic towns, fairytale castles, and towering vineyards, Vallendar and its surroundings offer plenty to see and do.
In October 2012, WHU opened its second campus in Düsseldorf. Now WHU has two locations from which it provides new directions to German business education, and in particular, to management education.
