Description
Environmental and recycling technology is an interdisciplinary field that deals with the development and application of technologies to minimise environmental impact and promote the sustainable use of resources. The focus is on innovative methods for the recycling of materials, the management of waste and the reduction of environmental pollution, thereby contributing to environmental protection and the efficient utilisation of natural resources.
Graduates are equipped with the knowledge and skills to develop solutions to the challenges of resource scarcity and environmental degradation.

Course organisation
The degree programme includes modules in project management, environmental law, life cycle analysis and specialisations in environmental engineering and recycling technology. Students also write a Master's thesis and work on practice-orientated projects, often in collaboration with industry partners.

Academic admission requirements
To be admitted to the programme, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- a Bachelor's degree in environmental engineering, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, biotechnology or a related field
- a minimum CGPA (cumulative grade point average) of 2.5 (according to the German grading system) or better
- English language skills at level B2 (see below).
- APS (Academic Achievement Certificate) for applicants from India, China or Vietnam
Language requirements
English proficiency at B2 level (CEFR), e.g. TOEFL iBT 79, IELTS 6.0, or completed Bachelor's programme in English.
