The programme stands for a new orientation in entrepreneurial activity that goes beyond profit maximisation. In line with Leuphana University Lüneburg's educational profile, the focus of the programme is on sustainable economic solutions. You will acquire knowledge and develop skills to take on the complex challenges of the present and the future.

The curriculum blends insights from a variety of disciplines, such as management, entrepreneurship, finance, information systems, psychology, and organisational sociology. The idea behind the programme is to combine theory with practise and individual reflective thinking with collaborative learning.

As part of the programme, you will have the option of integrating a study visit to the University of Cranfield (UK) to obtain a further Master's degree. For more information on this double degree option, please follow this link.

Course organisation

The Master's programme in Management & Entrepreneurship is structured along five tracks:

1. The Ma­nage­ment Stu­dies track ad­dres­ses the issue of re­s­pon­si­ble ma­nage­ment in busi­ness and so­cie­ty. It dis­cus­ses ad­van­ced foun­da­ti­ons of or­ga­ni­sa­ti­on, stra­te­gy and in­no­va­ti­on, of­fers mul­ti­di­sci­pli­na­ry per­spec­tives on di­gi­ta­li­sa­ti­on and con­clu­des in the third se­mes­ter with an in­ter­di­sci­pli­na­ry caps­to­ne pro­ject.

2. The Core Cur­ri­cu­lum track pro­mo­tes en­tre­pre­neu­ri­al thin­king and fos­ters cri­ti­cal re­flec­tion. It inte­gra­tes com­pul­so­ry and elec­tives mo­du­les, brin­ging to­ge­ther two areas of busi­ness stu­dies – en­tre­pre­neurship and ma­nage­ment. We are in­te­rested in to­pics co­ver­ing in­di­vi­du­als, or­ga­ni­sa­ti­ons and in­dus­try set­tings in which in­no­va­tions in pro­ducts, ser­vices, tech­no­lo­gies and in­sti­tu­tio­nal frame­works are re­inven­ted and chan­ged through en­tre­pre­neu­ri­al in­itia­ti­ves.

3. The Re­se­arch track ai­ms to ad­dress real pro­blems and ad­van­ce new know­ledge. You can focus on qua­li­ta­ti­ve and quan­ti­ta­ti­ve re­se­arch me­thods and can apply your theoretical skills within a re­se­arch pro­ject during the third semester.

4. In the Com­ple­men­ta­ry Stu­dies track, you will come together with students from all stu­dy pro­gram­mes in in­ter­di­sci­pli­na­ry se­mi­nars.

5. You will choose dif­fe­rent elec­tives from sub­ject are­as such as busi­ness ven­tu­ring, fi­nan­ce & ac­coun­ting, sustaina­bi­li­ty ma­nage­ment, cul­tu­re and or­ga­ni­sa­ti­on and data sci­ence.

Semester contribution

You do not have to pay tuition fees. You only have to pay a semester contribution of approx. 390 EUR per semester (subject to change). This will entitle you to receive a semester ticket, which covers public transport in Lüneburg and the surrounding area (e.g. Hamburg, Bremen, Lübeck). The semester contribution also covers almost all regional trains in Lower Saxony as well as participation in a rent-a-bike programme and free entrance to many cultural events in Lüneburg.

Costs of living

Approx. 900 EUR per month to cover personal expenses in Lüneburg:

  • Accommodation: 300 to 450 EUR
  • Food: 250 EUR
  • Health insurance: 110 EUR (not applicable for EU students)
  • Leisure activities, books, clothing: 80 to 250 EUR
