Academic admission requirements
For admission to the one-and-a-half-year Master of Business Administration (MBA) programme at Hochschule Fresenius, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Bachelor's Degree: Applicants must have successfully completed a Bachelor's degree programme from an accredited institution.
- Professional Experience: Candidates are required to have a minimum of one year of professional experience post-completion of their Bachelor's degree.
- Language Proficiency: Proficiency in English at level B2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) is mandatory, with appropriate documentation required.
Language requirements
Applicants must provide proof of their English skills at a level B2 through one of the following methods:
- TOEFL (minimum 80 points Internet-based)
- IELTS (minimum 6.5)
- minimum of 60 ECTS from a Bachelor's programme conducted in English

Education
Fresenius University of Applied Sciences is one of the oldest private universities in Germany. It is state-recognised and has an academic and educational tradition stretching back about 170 years. The International Business School is a school of Fresenius University of Applied Sciences. Its English-taught programmes attract international students and offer globally-oriented students an international dimension in higher education. The resulting study groups provide exciting possibilities for students to build bridges across cultures at the start of their academic careers.
Accreditation
Hochschule Fresenius offers the highest quality of education. We were institutionally accredited by The German Council of Science and Humanities in 2016 and received our system accreditation in 2015. All study programmes passed the internal quality assurance, and they are fully accredited and state-recognised.
Location
Berlin has many faces, and it is much more than just Germany’s capital and political centre. This vibrant, historic city is brimming with culture, boasts three opera houses, more than 150 theatres and venues, over 175 museums and collections, around 300 galleries, more than 250 public libraries and 130 cinemas. This cosmopolitan city has an incredibly diverse population.
