Business Consulting Master (BCM) Furtwangen University

Courses are held only in English. It is an English full time Master's programme.

Knowledge of German can be gained during your studies in Furtwangen but is not mandatory to be selected.

The programme offers prospective students the ability to learn cutting edge management and consulting skills and to explore careers in global companies. This programme is the ideal preparation for a career in SAP consulting, business process consulting, strategic consulting, and other similar fields.

Students learn to analyse the structure and the business processes of organisations, to develop innovative future concepts, to select and implement appropriate standard software, and to tailor it to the newly proposed organisational structure.

We provide a world-class learning environment through interactive teaching methods including lectures, case studies, and project work.

The BCM programme starts regularly in the summer semester of every year (at the beginning of March) and only once per year. We do not have a winter intake.

This Master's programme is designed for a duration of three semesters (one and a half years), starting in March. One semester consists of six months.

Some online/hybrid classes might be offered on a voluntary basis, but the BCM programme is generally an on-site full-time Master's programme.

15 October of each year for the following summer semester

The application period is open from 15 May until 15 October (for all applicants: EU and non-EU).

The online part in Mio as well as the mandatory snail mail package via DHL (with the mandatory German Embassy certified copies plus the valid and new IELTS proof) need to reach us by 15 October. Only complete applications (online and offline part) will be evaluated.

The evaluation of the applications always starts after the deadline and can last until the end of January (depending on the amount of applications).

Please apply online in MIO only when the mandatory "snail mail" (postal mail) part is ready to be sent to us via DHL, as this secures the evaluation of your application in a timely manner.

The tuition fee is 4,676 EUR for the complete studies of three semesters (including the semester administration fee for the first semester) and needs to be paid completely in one sum directly after being admitted (before the start of the programme). If you receive your admission info in December, for example, you need to transfer the complete amount of 4,676 EUR directly in order to secure your seat.

Payment in instalments is NOT possible.

Business Consulting Master's: structuring and advising well

We have a perfect mixture of classes given by our own professors from HFU Furtwangen University as well as others offered by experts and guest lecturers with an outstanding expertise in order to offer an interesting variety to our students and provide the best possible outcome after finishing with the Master's degree.

Internships are not mandatory, but some students wish to do them in order to get work experience in Germany.

• Undergraduate degree/BSc in Business Economics, Information Technology, Engineering, Social Sciences or similar
• Minimum of one year of relevant professional experience AFTER graduation (full-time work experience)
• Official language certificates required (scores see below) that are valid when the BCM programme starts in March. There are no exceptions!

IELTS Academic minimum: 6.0

TOEFL (ETS Institutional Code 7301)

• TOEFL iBT minimum: 76
• or TOEFL PBT minimum 540

The IELTS / TOEFL is mandatory for everyone (also if you studied in English). There are no exceptions (even if your entire studies and schooling was conducted in English).

Knowledge of basic German is a plus, but it is NOT mandatory. German is recommended for applying to jobs after your studies. To apply for the BCM programme, you do not need any proof of German within your application.
