Description

The aim of the Bachelor's programme is a multidisciplinary approach to human movement and exercise. Students will acquire scientific knowledge and methodology in the fields of human movement and exercise sciences. The content is organised in a modular structure. The programme differentiates between two main research areas (health and exercise).

Course organisation

First year: basic module (health studies, exercise studies, communication, cooperation and leadership in groups, writing and presenting skills), lecture module (sport institutions and participation, basics in sports medicine, neuromotor learning and control, biological psychology, motor development over the lifespan), research design and statistics (methods and data acquisition, SPSS tutorial), neuromotor control and modelling, gender and diversity, professional acting in elite sports, internship in sport and exercise organisations

Second year: research design and statistics, neuromotor control and modelling, gender and diversity, sport psychology, neurocognition and performance, data acquisition and analysis, professional acting in health sports, research project

Third year: professional acting in health sports, scientific internship, supervision and coaching, final module (Bachelor's thesis and defence)

The contents are organised in lectures, seminars, tutorials, practical courses and internships.

Integrated internships

An internship in sport and exercise organisations requires 90 hours of attendance and has to be completed during one semester. A scientific internship has to be finished in one semester, preferably during semester five.

Semester contribution

Students must pay a semester contribution fee of approx. 330 EUR per semester. This includes a "semester ticket" covering public transportation in the greater Münster area as well as all of Germany.
