Description

Whether we are talking about smartphones or computer chips, microwaves or navigation systems, solar installations or industrial robots – without electronic devices and systems, our modern world would come to a sudden halt. Electrical engineering and information technology (EIT) keep it turning and simplify our lives with forward-looking technologies.

The EIT specialisation prepares students for countless employment opportunities in research, development, production and technical marketing – from communications, automation, medical engineering, and the aerospace industry to renewable energy provision.

Further details

Course organisation

The degree programme is divided into two parts: basic studies lasting three semesters with a common first semester (language of instruction: English), and main studies from the fourth semester onwards (language of instruction: German), with a practical sixth semester and a Bachelor's thesis concluding your studies in the eighth semester.

The modular basic studies will teach you engineering fundamentals, but it will also keep the study programme flexible. Start your studies, get to know the topics on-site and decide on your specialisation later. You can still change within specialisations offered at the Rosenheim campus in the first semester.

During the first three semesters, you will acquire German language skills as well, starting with level A2 of CEFR. This will enable you to seamlessly change into the German-taught main course of study after the third semester.

After having completed the basic studies, you will be sufficiently prepared to change into the main course of study. You will study alongside German students in one of the seven specialisations the programme has to offer. The sixth semester is reserved for a practical semester in one of the many regional companies in Germany or in a company abroad. In the eighth semester, you will get to work on your Bachelor's thesis.

A Diploma supplement will be issued

Integrated internships

The sixth semester is reserved for a practical semester / internship in one of the many local companies in Germany or in a company abroad.

After having gained experience in German and English, you will benefit from both language skills not only in an international internship setting but also in a local one. At the same time, you will start networking with possible employers and gain valuable knowledge to build your career on. An internship sometimes even leads to a job offer after graduation.
