Course organisation
The International Engineering (IE) degree programme offers you the flexibility to discover different specialisations and career paths without having to commit yourself early on. The curriculum combines the fundamentals of engineering with the international aspects of engineering practice and optimally prepares you for the demands of a globalised working world.
You will be taught in English right from the start. In the fifth semester, you will complete an internship semester – either in Germany or abroad – to gain valuable professional experience.
The didactic concept of the degree programme is based on project-oriented learning. In group projects, you put the course content of each semester into practice and deepen your knowledge.
- Basic study programme (first + second semester): In the orientation phase, you will learn the basics of the STEM subjects as well as essential content with an international focus.
- Advanced programme (third + fourth semester): You will expand your specialised knowledge and learn how to apply it in practical projects.
- Practical semester (fifth semester): During this work-related semester, you will gain practical experience in an engineering-specific activity and prepare yourself specifically for starting your career.
- Specialisation phase (sixth + seventh semester): You will choose specialisations that correspond to your personal interests and professional goals. This will allow you to design your individual study path.
The degree programme concludes with a Bachelor's thesis.
