Description
Mechatronics Engineering is an interdisciplinary field that combines mechanical, electrical, computer, and control engineering to design and create smart systems and products. The key foundational subjects in this field include mathematics, electronics, computer science, mechanical, electrical and manufacturing engineering. Our English-taught Mechatronics Engineering curriculum has been developed in collaboration with industry to ensure that students gain both theoretical knowledge and practical skills to be ready to excel in modern industry.

Course organisation
- Semesters one through four: In the first four semesters, students study basic and foundation modules in engineering as well as language.
- Semester five: This is a compulsory practical semester, during which students complete internships in industrial companies either locally or throughout Germany, where they work independently on programme-related projects.
- Semester six: In the sixth semester, students deepen their knowledge with specialised elective modules having a direct relevance to modern-day industry. This semester also involves participation in a project under the guidance of the professors.
- Semester seven: In the final semester, students need to work on the final Bachelor's thesis, which is also mostly done in cooperation with industry. In addition, students also have the possibility to choose specialised modules to broaden their knowledge.
