Description
In recent years, the liberalisation of the electricity and gas markets in Germany and Europe as well as the need to decarbonise energy supply has led to a profound structural change in the energy sector. As a result, energy professionals are increasingly faced with new challenges that require more in-depth training than ever before. In addition to the increased pressure on companies from the capital markets, increased competition in the industry is leading to greater customer focus and consistent value-based management.
The University of Duisburg-Essen meets these challenges with a unique, interdisciplinary range of classes. The close link between energy and capital markets requires a wide range of skills, which are integrated into a two-year Master's programme. The course's bilingual orientation takes into account the international dimension of the energy and finance sectors. Therefore, students are prepared to work for companies in the energy industry, for banks and financial investors, for consultants and for the public administration.
The bilingual Master's in Business Administration – Energy and Finance at the University of Duisburg-Essen is a consecutive economics degree programme aimed at particularly qualified, performance-oriented Bachelor's graduates with a degree in economics or with an economics background (industrial engineering, business informatics, business mathematics).
The Master's in Energy and Finance in the Master of Business Administration programme qualifies you to pursue doctoral studies.
