Description
Cognitive Computing refers to computational models of cognitive abilities. Through training in this programme graduates are enabled to apply their acquired skills for the development of innovative intelligent systems and services.
The in-service Master's programme in Cognitive Computing is designed for professionals who study Cognitive Computing in parallel to their job. Besides cutting-edge research in AI and digitalisation, students are trained in close connection to real-world applications. Students can earn a substantial part of the required credits in a collaboration with the company that employs them. Advanced e-learning tools are used to familiarise students with state-of-the-art technologies. Special block courses allow students to block a module for a few days. Specific study plans are developed individually for each student.
The Master's programme consists of 120 ECTS credits (including thesis). Students participate in a one-year study project either at the institute or in collaboration with the company that employs them. The Master's programme is completed with a Master's thesis (30 ECTS) in the fourth semester, which can also be done in collaboration with the company, and leads to a "Master of Science (MSc)" degree in Cognitive Computing.
Students of Cognitive Computing select an individual set of courses on selected topics from the areas of:
- Artificial Intelligence
- Neuroinformatics
- Computational Linguistics
- Computer Vision
- NeuroAI
