Course organisation
This Master’s degree programme has a modular structure. The standard period of study of three semesters (full-time study) is divided into two study semesters and one semester in which to write your Master's thesis.
Each semester, you can obtain 30 ECTS credits across 24 hours per week per semester ("Semesterwochenstunden") - this equates to 90 ECTS credits across the entire duration of the degree programme. In each of the two study semesters you will be offered one compulsory module (Business Management or International Business). The two compulsory modules cover key areas of course content – corporate management and internationalisation of companies. In addition, you will be offered a total of nine advanced required elective modules. From these nine, you can choose four modules that best suit your individual interests (ideally two required elective modules per study semester).
Master’s thesis
The third semester is reserved for writing your Master's thesis. This piece of academic work can incorporate both a theoretical and a practical task from the field of business administration or economics.
