Studying in Saarbrücken
Studying at the Europa-Institut also means being enrolled as a student at Saarland University. Our students have the opportunity to use the wide range of services provided by the university and to take part in life on campus.
The campus university, with its idyllic setting in the woods, was founded in 1948 as a subsidiary of the University of Nancy. Therefore, the ideal of European integration was present from its beginnings. Since then, Saarland University has developed into an educational institution with around 18,000 students being trained in a wide range of subjects.
The cafeteria and various smaller cafés around the campus provide a variety of affordable foods and beverages and a meeting point during breaks. A bus system operating at short intervals guarantees transport from the university to the city centre within ten minutes, and to the surrounding suburbs.
Moreover, the university offers numerous leisure activities. Besides cultural activities such as concerts and movie nights, the university sports club invite students to participate in sporting events ranging from Aikido to gymnastics and from tennis to dancing. There are also several student parties and campus festivals throughout the year.
