Description
The Master's degree programme in Advanced Industrial Engineering combines elements of engineering and business administration with new approaches to sustainable concepts and new digital technologies such as artificial intelligence, data science, collaborative robots as well as augmented, virtual and mixed reality.
Partnering with successful local hidden champions and global leaders in engineering, the programme puts much emphasis on the application of study contents in engineering practice. Thereby, this degree programme will empower students to embark on successful careers in the field of Industrial Engineering.
Our partnerships with leading companies will offer students outstanding career entry opportunities and future positions (e.g. as a production engineer, technical buyer, in technical sales, supply chain management or as a management consultant).
The degree programme is in English and will prepare students for international requirements, enabling students to acquire excellent technical English skills.

Integrated internships
There is no mandatory internship. However, our curriculum involves close connections to local companies in many ways: case studies with industrial partners, projects in our innovations lab with collaborative robots, augmented, virtual and mixed reality, data science and artificial intelligence, field trips to companies and lectures including insights into engineering work in Germany.

Requirements
Academic admission requirements
A Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or an equivalent qualification obtained in Germany or abroad with an overall grade of 2.0 or higher is required.

Language requirements
In order to apply for the programme, you will need a language level of English B2 according to the CEFR.
The following English language tests are recognised:
- Internet-based TOEFL with 72 or more points
- TOEIC with 785 or more points
- IELTS or IELTS Academic with a band score of 6.0 or higher
- Cambridge CEFR B2 First (FCE), Grade C (at least 160 points) or higher
- Cambridge CEFR C1 Advanced (CAE) with level B2 (at least 160 points) or higher 3
- TELC Certificate English B2 or higher, or TELC English University B2/C1
- Pearson PTE Academic, 60 or more points
- Trinity ISE II or higher or Trinity ISE Digital 80 points or more
- KMK-Fremdsprachenzertifikat III
- AKS UNIcert® II or higher
- At least six years of English tuition at school with a grade of at least “sufficient” in the final year proven by a German-language university entrance qualification or an equivalent, recognised university entrance qualification from a non-German school
- Completed English-language Bachelor's or Master's degree
- Completed English studies university degree in Germany or abroad
- Passing "Technical English", "Business English" or a comparable English module with a grade of 3.0 or better worth at least 4 ECTS from a German university degree

Location
Studying in Rosenheim
Rosenheim is located in the south-eastern part of the German state of Bavaria. Situated in between the three larger cities of Munich, Salzburg and Innsbruck, it is the centre of a prospering economic region with a population of about 100,000 inhabitants. The Bavarian capital of Munich is only 30 minutes away by train and offers a lot of very attractive companies and job opportunities.
Studying at the Rosenheim campus means studying in beautiful surroundings in one of the most attractive regions in Germany – particularly in terms of quality of life and recreational activities. The Rosenheim campus is located in the city centre, just a 20-minute walk from the main station, and even has its own train stop. Art, tradition and culture can be found everywhere in Rosenheim.
