For IFM students, it is optional to spend their third semester either in Nürtingen or their third and fourth semester as a free mover at a university of their choice to receive a double degree.

Option One: Third semester at the HfWU (Nürtingen – winter semester)

• Innovation in the Financial Industry (Digital Finance and Fin Tec / Data Science / Prompt Engineering for Finance and & Investment Analysis)

Option Two: Double degree as a free mover at a university of your choice

The programme only starts in the winter semester each year (usually beginning of October) with a standard duration of three semester and 90 ECTS. The mode of study is predominantly in person and on campus.

Applications are possible each year between 1 March and 1 June for the following winter semester, starting in October (valid for all applicants, EU and non-EU)

Tuition fees of 1,500 EUR per semester apply to non-EU applicants. For more authoritative information and details regarding exemptions, please contact the academic institution.

The programme starts in October (winter semester) each year.

First semester: Nürtingen, Germany (lectures from October to February)

Second semester: Nürtingen, Germany (lectures from March to July)

Third semester: Nürtingen, Germany (lectures from October to February)

Alternatively, students have the option to pursue a double degree as a free mover. In this case, students usually spend their third and fourth semester at a university of their choice.

The programme is taught completely in English and also includes the teaching of intercultural skills throughout all modules, due to the focus on international finance.

Besides the option to spend their third semester at the HfWU Nuertingen-Geislingen University, students also have the opportunity to complete one semester abroad at one of our partner universities or a double degree programme as a "free mover" at a university of their choice worldwide.

Students should budget approx. 850 EUR per month. A higher cost of living may be expected if students choose to pursue a double degree abroad.

Academic admission requirements include a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in the areas of business, economics, management or business law from a national or international institution of higher education. The degree must show evidence of above-average examination results.

Applicants must provide proof of their English language skills in form of an English proficiency test (e.g. TOEFL, IELTS) or proof that the degree they apply with (Bachelor's/Master's) was conducted completely in English.
