Semester contribution
- For the period of study at JGU, students usually pay the "Semesterbeitrag" which covers public transport opportunities. The semester fee at Mainz for the summer semester of 2024 was 357.46 EUR. The share for the semester ticket is 235.66 EUR. However, this is not mandatory for degree programme students.
- For issuing the Master’s degree of the University of Milan, the students will have to pay a handling fee, determined by Italian law.
Costs of living
Students will be responsible for covering travel and, if applicable, living costs (including accommodation) during their stay in the host country.

Academic admission requirements
The selection shall take place according to the following criteria:

- BA in "Germanistik" or Laurea triennale including Bachelor's thesis in Germanistik
- past work and extracurricular experience
- strong motivation
Language requirements
Proof of German language proficiency at the level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR)

Funding opportunities within the institution
Students at UNIMI will receive a subsidy towards the costs of international mobility based on their income circumstances, which will be based on the ISEE certificate submitted to the Student Secretariat Department. Students at JGU should seek support as part of Erasmus mobility.
