An internationally acclaimed faculty empowers you to build, restructure and guide companies through the processes of transformation. The MBA programme at HHL is divided into three segments: the Welcome Weeks, the General Management Essentials and the General Management Deep Dives.

1. The Welcome Weeks: Where your HHL adventure begins!

The Welcome Weeks offer a plunge into the HHL spirit. Through a range of intercultural team-building activities, you will embark on your unforgettable HHL adventure. You will get to know classmates from all of our programmes and from all corners of the world and lay the foundation for a powerful network of contacts that will support you not only through your studies, but far beyond. Refresher courses on business management fundamentals will also ease you into the programme, and an initial introduction to the Leipzig Leadership Model will begin your transformation into the future leader of your aspirations.

2. General Management Essentials: The key qualifications of tomorrow

Here you lay the foundation for your management career. Three pillars impart a balanced mix of fundamental and state-of-the-art management knowledge: Management Fundamentals, Leadership & Reflection, and Entrepreneurship & Disruption.

3. General Management Electives: Tailored to your needs

The general management electives revolve entirely around your individual career goals and your personal growth: Strategic Management, Financial Management, Marketing Management, Innovative Business, Decision Making, Competitiveness & Value Chains, Leadership, Advanced General Management

4. Customisation Modules: Gain practical and international experience

In the advanced track, you will have a number of options at no additional cost:

The programme starts in September with two welcome weeks. 

HHL's full-time MBA is perfectly structured to meet the individual needs and interests of the students. The programme has two tracks: the short track (15 months) and the advanced track (21 months). During this time, our programme flow ensures a balanced workload.

In addition to the MBA courses, students can choose to participate in a wide range of basic, intermediate and business-level German language courses.

Furthermore, during your stay at HHL, company visits will take you to various cities in Germany, giving you the opportunity to observe companies and business models that meet your particular interests.

Academic admission requirements

Applicants must have an academic degree and evidence of substantial work experience (at least three years). A GMAT score of at least 600 (555 GMAT Focus Edition) is required (or comparable GRE).

Leipzig is a city with a high standard of living. Rent for student accommodation is relatively low. The apartments managed by the Student Union (Studentenwerk Leipzig) cost between 190 and 410 EUR per month (http://www.studentenwerk-leipzig.de) and private accommodations cost approx. 300–500 EUR per month.
