Description
The Master's in Mathematics of Machine Learning and Data Science teaches a broad spectrum of mathematical concepts and methods that are the basis of algorithms for machine learning, data analysis, and similar applications. Core topics are provided by the disciplines of differential geometry, dynamical systems, functional analysis, numerics, optimisation, statistics, and topology, among others.

Academic admission requirements
You can only be admitted if you have a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics (or Scientific Computing, Physics, etc.) asserting a sufficiently broad mathematical education, which requires a final grade <= 2.3. You need to provide proof of knowledge in selected core areas of mathematics and of sufficient proficiency in English.
Language requirements
- TOEFL paper-based with a minimum of 532 out of 677 points
- TOEFL internet-based with a minimum of 72 out of 120 points
- IELTS with a minimum of 5.5
- Cambridge English Scale with a minimum of 160 points
- The successful completion of an English-language degree programme
- Proof of a Bachelor's degree, predominantly with courses conducted in the English language
