Description

Tourism is a diverse and international industry. The International Tourism Management (ITM) degree programme offers you the opportunity to specialise in this field, sharpen your existing skills and deepen your key qualifications from your previous Bachelor's degree in order to create unforgettable leisure and vacation experiences four your customers at home and abroad and take on management positions later in your career.

Our Master's programme increases your chances of standing out from the crowd of Bachelor's graduates, or pursuing a doctorate/PhD or working in an academic field. In addition, many employers place great value on the comprehensive skills that you learn during your Bachelor's degree and can expand and deepen through a Master's degree programme.

The Master's degree programme in ITM offers in-depth and practical education, particularly in the areas of tourism, management and methodological skills. You will learn important key skills for the varied and exciting tasks in tourism management. Current content and practical projects in collaboration with cooperation partners enable you to apply and deepen your knowledge in practice. Entrepreneurship, digitalisation and sustainability are also integral components of the degree course to prepare you for the topics of the future in tourism.

An outstanding unique feature is the close integration with the German Institute for Tourism Research (DI Tourismusforschung) based at the FH Westküste University of Applied Sciences. This offers you not only attractive research opportunities and access to current data but also a wide range of contacts with renowned companies, institutions and scientists in the industry, which contributes to the students' education at the cutting edge.
