The full-time MBA has a duration of two semesters. Conversely, the part-time MBA programme covers the same courses but extends them over four semesters.

Domestic and EU applicants:

• 14 March for the summer semester
• 30 September for the winter semester

• 31 July for the winter semester

• 97 EUR per semester – compulsory contribution for the Munich and Upper Bavaria Student Union
• 43 EUR per month (optional) – for the use of regional public transport across all of Germany

• Minimum of 600 EUR rent per month for a shared room in and around Munich

• 600 EUR estimated minimum costs per month for personal expenses

Degrees

A completed Bachelor's or comparable university degree with a minimum duration of six semesters, preferably comprising 210 ECTS credits

Professional experience

At least three years of qualified post‑graduate professional experience, which must:

• be in a role related to your academic background
• be performed in a full-time capacity
• have taken place within a registered company (e.g., GmbH, AG, PLC, Limited)
• be verified through an official confirmation or reference letter

English proficiency language level B2, please submit:

• A certificate of a recognised language test like TOEFL, IELTS, TOEIC and also FCE, CPE, BEC, or
• An official confirmation from your former university that your first university degree was taught in English

Basic knowledge of German is not required, but it naturally helps with daily life in Germany and will be beneficial for the domestic job market.

Numerous part-time job opportunities are available during studies in Munich, contingent upon your visa status permitting it.

The city hosts a multitude of international companies and their offices, including Google, Microsoft, The Walt Disney Company, alongside the headquarters of German companies like Allianz Insurances, BMW, Flixbus, Siemens, Münchner Rück, etc.

There are no student homes available through HDBW.
