Description
The six-semester study programme in German Business Communication ("Wirtschaftskommunikation Deutsch") combines education in business and economics with the comprehensive acquisition of applied linguistics, German skills for academic, business, and corporate communication as well as intercultural competency. Graduates will have the opportunity to work in a variety of communication branches as well as in business fields, in particular in HR management, marketing, corporate management, production, and logistics for both domestic mid-size companies and for international global players. Graduates will be proficient in business specialisations and business German and English, and they will be able to effectively engage in internal and external corporate communications. They will be highly qualified to contribute to the success of corporations regarding their international exchange and collaboration.

Semester one & semester two:
The first two semesters teach the fundamentals of oral and written German as well as German corporate and business communication. In the courses of
- Introduction to Applied Linguistics,
- Introduction to Contrastive Linguistics and Multilingualism,
- Introduction to Project Communication and
- Introduction to Intercultural Communication,
English is also used in the first two semesters as the language of instruction.

Description of other international elements
Teachers from our partner universities will give some international guest lectures. These universities include among others the University of Ostrava (Czech Republic), the Tomas Bata University in Zlín (Czech Republic) and the University of Economics in Bratislava (Slovakia).
Students can take part in our (virtual) language exchange programme.
