Description
The Joint Degree Programme in Law (Hamburg/Istanbul) is an integrated international degree programme with a double degree. The aim of the programme is to educate students in the fields of German and Turkish law, including its foundations and references to international law. The programme is initially taught for two years at the Faculty of Law at Universität Hamburg and then for two years at Istanbul University. It begins in the winter semester. During their studies in Hamburg, participants attend courses on civil law, criminal law and public law. In addition, special courses on Turkish law are held in Hamburg. The third and fourth years of study are completed at Istanbul University. The courses in Istanbul build on the legal knowledge acquired in Hamburg. In addition to Turkish civil, criminal and public law, which is often based on German and EU law, further courses with an international focus are offered.
