The Bachelor of Engineering with Honours in Chemical Engineering is a four-year programme jointly offered by SIT and TUM. It is the first and only programme in Singapore designed to equip aspiring chemical engineers with cutting-edge Industry 4.0 skillsets, preparing them to meet the evolving needs of the chemical industry.

This Bachelor’s degree addresses the growing manpower demands of both the local and global chemical sectors by providing students with advanced training in data engineering and additive manufacturing. Through intensive laboratory experiments and in-depth analysis, students gain the practical skills and knowledge needed to excel in the dynamic field of chemical engineering.

All theoretical and practical modules will be held in Singapore.

All coursework is conducted in English, and students will be taught by German and Singaporean lecturers.

The Integrated Work Study Programme (IWSP) allows students to work full-time in a host company for eight months, blending theory and practice to obtain valuable industrial know-how. Students will have the opportunity to work with local or overseas companies that offer exposure to relevant fields such as chemistry, process, products, automation, and data analysis.

Diploma holders from any of the five local polytechnics and A Level / IB Diploma graduates are welcome to apply. Applicants with Chemical Engineering or closely related Science and Technology diplomas are strongly encouraged to apply. Students with other qualifications (completed a formal 12-year education equivalent to A-Levels) are eligible to apply as well.

For GCE A-LEVELS holders & international students: Applicants who graduate with GCE A-Levels qualifications are eligible to apply for the Chemical Engineering degree programme. Students with other qualifications (completed a formal 12-year education equivalent to A-Levels) are eligible to apply as well.

• Obtain a pass in General Paper or Knowledge & Inquiry in the same sitting, while satisfying: "Mother Tongue Language" (MTL)* requirements.

*GCE A Level / IB applicants need to fulfil the language requirements as stipulated by the German higher education system.

As Singapore is a relatively small island city with easy access via public transport, students are able to reside in any residential zones convenient to them. TUM Asia has no campus accommodation and our students search for their own that fits their budget and preferred area of ​​residence. They may choose to live in student hostels when they first arrive in Singapore and, after they have made new friends at university, they rent and share a private apartment with some other friends/classmates. The living expenses in Singapore (including accommodation) are approximately 1,200 - 2,200 SGD per month. The actual amount will vary across individuals.
