Description

This programme covers the foundations of psychology while specialising in health and environmental psychology. Course organisation

The programme is structured into interconnected fields of study, each contributing to a holistic understanding of psychological principles and their application to global challenges. This structure ensures a progressive learning experience that integrates theory, research, and practice. The fields covers the following scopes:

Phase one: Foundational Learning (semesters one through four)
In the initial semesters, students build a strong foundation in psychology, exploring topics like general, social, and developmental psychology, alongside health and environmental psychology basics.
In addition, students advance to specialised modules in counselling, behaviour analysis, and interdisciplinary perspectives, complemented by research training and empirical studies.

Phase two: Internship (semester five)
During the internship, students gain hands-on experience in health or environmental psychology, developing their professional competencies and reflecting on their practical skills. This experiential learning phase enhances their readiness for professional roles. Possible work contexts are education and upbringing, clinics and rehabilitation centres, health insure companies, NGOs, public administration, and businesses.

Phase three: Specialisation (semesters six and seven)
The final phase includes specialisation modules in health or environmental psychology, and a Bachelor's thesis, integrating knowledge into professional contexts.

Location

The university's location in Würzburg is situated in one of the most beautiful regions of Germany.
