BEng in Logistics Technical University of Applied Sciences Würzburg-Schweinfurt (THWS)

All courses are held in English.

Our top priority is to make you fit for the job by our up-to-date training programme. This naturally includes teaching the necessary basic knowledge in technical, IT, business, and general scientific subjects during foundation modules. However, you will only be successful in a company if you can combine your knowledge and skills with the necessary soft skills. Therefore, it is our ambition to work out and train important personal success factors. These include, for example, the ability to work in a team, time management, assertiveness, the ability to discuss and present problems, independent problem identification and systematic problem solving. Projects on current real-life topics, which are carried out in small facilitated groups, provide a platform for learning.

1 April to 15 June for the following winter semester

Semesters 1-3: Basic subjects (e.g. Mathematics, Physics, Operations Management, Technical Mechanics, Transportation Management and Forwarding, Project Management, and Scientific Working)
Semesters 4-5: Advanced subjects (e.g. Material Flow Systems / Technical Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Logistics, Strategic Purchasing, Logistics Services, Projects in Industry, SAP lectures)
Semester 6: Internship (20 weeks)
Semester 7: Completion of programme (Bachelor's thesis, soft skills courses, and elective courses)
Graduates of the programme are awarded the degree Bachelor of Engineering (BEng).

The course structure includes an internship semester. The internship phase is scheduled for the sixth semester and comprises a total of 20 weeks.

• Evidence of knowledge of English at level B2, e.g. valid TOEFL iBT® test result of at least 83 points (Internet-based), IELTS 6.0, etc.

• To ensure linguistic flexibility when communicating with other students and living in Germany, German language skills at level A2 are required. This must be proven by a corresponding certificate within 12 months after the start of the degree programme.

In order to finance your living expenses during your studies, you can look for a student job. However, please note that your focus should always be on your studies.

Students from non-EU countries may work 120 full days or 240 half days per year. If you work as a student assistant at a university or a company, the amount of days may be higher.

Students from EU countries: There are no restrictions.
