Description

The programme in Energy Systems Engineering and Management at Heilbronn University of Applied Sciences combines engineering fundamentals with energy-focused technical and business courses. This multidisciplinary curriculum provides you with a strong foundation in the core principles of electrical and environmental engineering.

Key Features

The course equips students with the fundamentals of engineering and management that are essential for understanding energy systems and their further development towards sustainable systems. The basic studies include mathematics, physics, electrical engineering and computer science, while the main studies concentrate on energy-focused classes as well as business and engineering classes. In hands-on labs, students practice and apply what they learn in a dynamic and supportive environment. Projects aligned with industry partners enable students to explore the energy and environmental challenge.

The Energy Systems Engineering and Management programme deals with how energy is generated, stored, distributed and used in an environmentally friendly and efficient way. Our students are able to make their own contribution to the sustainable reorientation of energy systems. They learn to optimise existing energy concepts and can design new energy supply options, taking into account the availability of raw materials, the sustainable reduction of environmental pollution and the pricing mechanisms of the energy industry.

Career Perspectives

Graduates have the opportunity to develop and focus their interests and competencies for a broad range of trajectories and careers. Common careers paths include recruitment by energy suppliers, engineer service providers, energy consulting firms or planning and engineering companies. Graduates are also ideally qualified for jobs in the public sector as well as in the industry in a variety of fields such as research and development, planning, consulting, quality control and project management.
