Do you already have a certificate of academic degree and would like to become a teacher at a vocational school? This is possible with us if you have studied one of the following subjects or comparable subjects:

Electrical Engineering
Metals Technology/Mechanical Engineering
Nursing Sciences
Social Education
Economics (expected from winter semester 2025/26)

You can combine your professional subject area with one of the following general education teaching subjects: German, English, Protestant Religion, Computer Science, Catholic Religion, Islamic Religion, Mathematics or Physics.

Admission requirements

You can only be admitted to this degree course if you have already obtained a qualified academic degree (Bachelor’s, Master’s or Diploma degree) in Economics or in a comparable subject. In addition, you must demonstrate vocational and business education and/or (specialised) didactic skills amounting to 15 credit points. For this purpose, study and examination achievements or relevant knowledge and skills gained outside the university can be recognised. If you do not demonstrate these skills in your application, you must obtain them by the end of your Master’s academic degree.
