Target group

Graduates with a subject-related Bachelor’s degree course in a field of Economics or Social Sciences or with proof of a comparable professionally qualifying certificate of academic degree obtained in Germany or abroad.

In the completed Bachelor’s programme, basic economic knowledge must have been acquired and at least 72 credit points in Economics subjects and the associated auxiliary sciences that teach methodological skills (e.g. Mathematics for Economists, Statistics).

Annotation

The Master in Economics, Institutions, and Behaviour prepares systematically for a professional practice as an economist. All important subject areas of micro- and macroeconomics, economic policy and institutional economics are the subject of courses. Unique in Germany so far is the systematic consideration of the economic analysis of institutions for the national economy.

Through a mixture of statistical foundations and practical economic applications, students acquire important professional skills.
