Annotation
The Mechatronics degree course is an interdisciplinary engineering course that combines mechanical engineering, electrical engineering and computer science. The focus is on a holistic view of a constantly increasing number of mechatronic products, the performance of which results from the intelligent interaction of mechanical, electrical and information technology components (e.g. vehicles, robots, drives, power tools, consumer electronics). Students acquire solid mathematical and scientific basic knowledge as well as knowledge of electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, information technology and computer science. These fundamentals are systematically combined with essential fields of application in a practical and systematic manner. Elective modules in the 6th semester also enable individual profiling/specialisation.
