The subject of French comprises the subject areas of linguistics, literature and regional studies. These scientific subject areas are framed by practical language training, which is carried out exclusively by native-language teachers, and a well-founded foreign language didactic training. During your degree course you will build up sound French language skills, get to know the country and its people and become an expert in French culture and history. Thanks to the practical language teaching methodology of the French teaching qualification degree course, you will be fully prepared for your future profession as a teacher. The close cooperation with schools in the region gives you the opportunity to put theory into practice and to test findings from your studies in class. Erasmus collaborations with our partner universities give you the opportunity to study at a total of 12 universities in France and Belgium for up to 24 months.
