The degree course is aimed at people with a first professionally qualifying certificate of academic degree in
Degree courses in the field of Computer Science, Mathematics, Bioinformatics or subject-related study programmes and equivalent to a Bachelor's degree amounting to 180 credits at a university or equivalent higher education institution in Germany or abroad.

Admission requirements

A subject related requirement is proof of a degree in computer science with a final grade of at least "good" or better. In the case of a degree in bioinformatics or mathematics and a poor final grade, the aptitude can, if necessary, be checked by means of an aptitude test.
Command of the English language and an interest in technical, mathematical and natural science issues is expected.
International applicants must provide proof of German language proficiency at the level of the DSH examination (min. level 2), the TestDaF (TDN 4x4) or a recognised equivalent.
