How can we design an agricultural system that feeds people, protects animals and protects the climate at the same time? How can agricultural production be implemented in a sustainable, regional, socially just and economically viable manner, also under the conditions of climate change, scarcity of resources and global competitive pressure?
The Bachelor’s degree programme in Agricultural Sciences addresses these and other central questions about the future of agriculture. Here you explore agricultural systems in all their complexity: from crop cultivation and animal husbandry to business administration and technology to environmental and energy issues. In practical courses and an integrated work placement, you will learn how innovative concepts for sustainable agricultural production are developed and implemented. If you want to play an active role in shaping agriculture and contribute to solving global challenges, the Agricultural Sciences degree course is the right choice for you.
Are you especially interested in horticultural topics? Then choose the degree course Agricultural Sciences with the field of study Horticultural Sciences.
