Admission requirements

You must reach 70 points to meet the entry requirements. Depending on the first certificate of academic degree (e.g. Bachelor), you will receive: 50 points in equivalent courses of study, 40 points in nearly equivalent courses of study, 30 points in closely related courses of study, 20 points in other courses of study. For the final grade of the degree course: 20 points for a very good final grade, 10 points for a good final grade, 5 points for a final grade that is not very good or good. For the grades of "good" or "very good" in the following subjects/subject groups relevant to the degree course, a score of 5 points each (a maximum of 15 points in total) is given: Principles of Medicine, Modelling in Biomedical Engineering, Biosignal Processing. In addition, completion of a Bachelor's thesis or an equivalent work rated "good" or "very good" or proven qualified professional experience of at least one year accounts for 5 points.

Tuition fees

There are no tuition fees at TU Ilmenau, only a semester contribution. This amounts to approx. 250 euros for new students (plus a one-time fee of 20 euros for the student ID card upon enrolment).
