Annotation
The Master’s degree programme "Particle Accelerator Science" is a cooperation programme taught in English between the Technical University of Darmstadt (TUDa), the Johannes Gutenberg University of Mainz (JGU) and the Goethe University Frankfurt am Main (GU) as part of the strategic alliance of the Rhine-Main Universities (RMU).
Admission requirements
The admission requirement for the Master’s degree course in Particle Accelerator Science is a Bachelor’s degree in the field of Natural Sciences or Engineering, which teaches competencies worth at least 180 CP that are not significantly different from the entry competencies (https://www.intern.tu-darmstadt.de/media/dezernat_ii/satzungsbeilagen/SB_2025_VI.pdf#page=14).
Accordingly, applicants must demonstrate mandatory entry competencies in the following areas and with the following CP:
- at least 20 CP in Mathematics
- at least 5 CP in Fundamentals of Physics
- at least 5 CP in Theoretical Electrodynamics and
- at least 4 CP in metrological or scientific laboratory practicals
