Target group

Bachelor graduates whose degree must include the following skills:

- theological or non-theological religious studies
- basal hermeneutic skills in dealing with normative texts from religious traditions
- knowledge of and ability to apply fundamental historical and systematic questions of theology.

The determination of competences is made by the Examination Board.

Annotation

Die gesellschaftlichen Herausforderungen unserer Tage zeigen, wie wichtig nicht nur der Dialog der Religionen untereinander, sondern auch der Dialog der Religionen mit anderen Wissenschaften und Weltbildern ist. Das Masterstudienfach bietet daher die Möglichkeit zwischen einem jüdischen, christlichen, islamischen oder buddhistischen Studienschwerpunkt zu wählen. In interreligiösen und interkulturellen Dialogen werden Gemeinsamkeiten sowie Unterschiede der Religionen entdeckt und durchdacht. Dabei verstehen wir die Unterschiede nicht als Dialog-Blockaden, sondern als Antrieb zur gegenseitigen Verständigung.

Admission requirements

Degree that includes the following skills:

Applicants must have a basic proficiency in at least one ancient language (Latin, Greek, Hebrew, Arabic or Ancient Chinese).
