Bachelor graduates whose degree must include the following skills:

-\tKnowledge of and ability to apply basic principles of structuralist language analysis.
-\tKnowledge of and ability to apply basic principles of text and dialogue analysis.
-\tIn-depth exploration of variation, change and history of language.
-\tIn-depth exploration of language between individuation and social influence.
-\tApplication and reflection of theories, paradigms and methodologies in synchronous and diachronous German Linguistics.
-\tAbility to form linguistic hypotheses following on the principles set out in the literature.

The examination board determines the equivalence of skills.

Annotation

In unserem Masterstudienfach wird die Sprache aus einer kulturanalytischen Perspektive erschlossen:
Gegenstand ist die deutsche Sprache in ihren soziokulturellen Bezügen, Funktionen und Spezialisierungen. Wir betrachten die Leistung der Sprache im Zusammenhang mit der Herstellung sozialer Wirklichkeit, ihre Anpassung und Bindung an unterschiedliche sozio-kulturelle Kontexte und kommunikative Konstellationen sowie ihre Variabilität, ihr Wandel und dessen Ursachen.

Admission requirements

Degree that includes the following skills:

- Knowledge of and ability to apply fundamentals of structuralist language analysis.
- Knowledge of and ability to apply fundamentals of text and conversation analysis.
- In-depth examination of language variation, change and history.
- In-depth examination of language between individualisation and social influences.
- Ability to apply and reflect on theories, paradigms and methods in synchronous and diachronic Germanic linguistics.
- Ability to form linguistic hypotheses following the principles formulated in the literature.
