The Master's in Medieval Studies offers students great flexibility in the interest-led design of their study plan within the structured and modularized framework of the degree programme. It creates scope for research-led studies and the productive use of the broad range of subjects offered by the University of Heidelberg. Individual focus in individual disciplinary traditions as well as in the selection of exemplary thematic topics are equally possible and intended. Specialisations are possible in German Language and Literature, History, Art History and Romance Studies as well as in Jewish Studies. As a second speciality, the Historical Basic Sciences or the Latin Philology of the Middle Ages can also be chosen.
