The degree programme with a four-semester standard period of study is intended for students who have obtained a first professionally qualifying certificate of academic degree with 180 ECTS points in Electrical and Electronics Engineering regardless of major. Admission to the degree programme with a four-semester standard period of study takes place in the winter semester.

The areas of responsibility include renewable energies, smart grids, energy storage systems, energy-efficient drives, electromobility, the energy industry and emission reduction. The academic degree also qualifies you for academic work and enables you to study for a doctorate.
Admission requirements
Admission requirements:
- A first professionally qualifying certificate of academic degree in Electrical Engineering, regardless of a specialisation with an overall grade of "good (2.5)" and 180 ECTS.
- proof (certificates no older than 3 years) of English language proficiency through a certificate of level B2 (e.g. TOEFL, IELS, Cambridge Certificate) OR a Bachelor's academic degree from an English-speaking region OR at least 25 ECTS credits from English-language modules.
- a curriculum vitae showing study and work experience up to the date of application.
-the Bachelor's thesis or a final thesis corresponding to the Bachelor's thesis. The Bachelor's thesis or the final thesis should have a methodological and technical reference to the Electrical Engineering – Renewable Energy degree programme curriculum.
