Target group

Designers who in future want to analyse processes and problems in the field of media-related illustration in an academic and content-related way, develop solutions that are appropriate to the problem, and also take non-subject-specific references into account. The course of study aims to further develop the creativity and design skills of the students and prepare them for the master's examination.

Admission requirements

For admission to or continuation of studies in the Master's degree programme "Illustration" at Münster University of Applied Sciences, you must provide proof of:
- a first professionally qualifying design degree with at least 210 credit points according to ECTS (European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System) in the subject area of illustration, communication or media design with a specialisation in illustration, comprising at least 30 credit points from the subject areas/fields of illustration such as book illustration, non-fiction and science illustration, media illustration, editorial illustration, analogue animation, illustrative animation, graphic novels;
- course-related special conceptual and design aptitude
