Target group

The Master’s degree in Osteopathy offers you an expanded field of activity that goes beyond purely practical treatment. The degree course prepares you to apply osteopathic methods comprehensively and in an interdisciplinary manner in patient treatment. At the same time, you will deepen your scientific, clinical and therapeutic skills. You will be able to integrate osteopathic treatment methods into existing therapeutic work, applying and further developing scientifically sound, evidence-based approaches.

Please note: Without a license to practice alternative medicine or medicine, you are not permitted to offer independent osteopathic treatment in Germany, as osteopathy is considered a form of alternative medicine. As a non-medical practitioner, you must therefore successfully complete the alternative practitioner examination.

Part-time face-to-face studies* in Berlin or Hamburg (OSD – Study Centres for Osteopathy, in cooperation with DIPLOMA University of Applied Sciences)

*Approximately 60 % of the seminars are held as live online seminars.

Admission requirements

To be admitted to the Master’s degree course in Osteopathy (continuing education course), one of the following requirements must be met:
- Proof of a completed Bachelor’s academic degree or Diploma degree (210 ECTS credit points) and a final grade of at least "satisfactory" in Health and Social Care. In addition, you must have at least 4 years of osteopathic continuing education (at least 1,350 hours) and at least 12 months of relevant, qualified professional experience
or
- Evidence of vocational training in the field of therapy, at least 2 years of professional experience and at least 4 years of osteopathic continuing education (at least 1,350 hours) as well as a passed DIPLOMA aptitude test
