Annotation

The structure of the modularised courses of study for the dual degree and double major in Art for Teaching at Grammar Schools is characterised in a special way by its project orientation, which, in addition to enabling students to organise themselves, promotes their ability to reflect, their ability to cooperate and their research-orientated work.

In addition to the equal integration of teaching students in the projects of free art, product design, visual communication and media art/ media design, references to school and extracurricular art contexts are made throughout the course of study, which are expressed, among other things, in continuous cooperation with the Klassik Stiftung Weimar and the Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism in the field of architecture and school.

The integration of a practical semester according to the Jena model promotes early intensive school contact. In addition to the double degree programme, the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar also offers double degree programmes. In addition, in cooperation with the LISZT Weimar School of Music, the subject combination of teaching at grammar schools of art and music can be studied. The study of another secondary subject and the educational sciences takes place at the Friedrich Schiller University Jena.

Admission via the Bauhaus University Weimar; in Jena matriculation as a secondary student.
