What is VORsprung?

VORsprung is an online course that helps you to prepare for a engineering, science or technology (STEM) degree programme in Germany. If your school leaving certificate alone is not enough to study in Germany, you can apply for VORsprung. You don't have to travel to Germany for the preparation, you can take part from home. Participation in the course is free of charge for you.

What to bring?

You need a school certificate that entitles you to attend a preparatory college (Studienkolleg) in Germany. You also need proof of German language skills at a minimum of B1 level. Your school report and language certificates must be submitted in German or English. You need a laptop or PC and a stable internet connection for the course.

What is waiting for you in the course?

Start with an introductory phase (2 weeks): Get to know the course platform, your contact persons and the other participants. You will then immerse yourself in exciting STEM topics for six months. Join the course and:

  • Choose 2 subjects that are of particular interest to you.
  • Study independently on the course platform and in online tutorials with others.
  • Use gamification, videos and media to solve exciting tasks.
  • Learn German with "Deutsch-Uni Online".
  • Find out more about studying in Germany.
