Annotation

The Bachelor's degree course in Economics, Institutions, and Behaviour with the academic degree Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) is aimed at students who want to gain an insight into essential aspects of economic theory and politics. The explicit consideration of the importance of institutions for the economy, which is characteristic of Marburg, gives students an overview of the structures that underlie the decisions of individual decision-makers (companies or public institutions) already in the Bachelor's degree course. Close links with business administration allow the direct application of institutional economic concepts. On the one hand, the training is very practical, but places greater emphasis on the learning of thought structures than on the mere acquisition of factual knowledge and thus gives students a solid basis for lifelong learning so that they can continue to hold their own in a dynamic business environment.

The focus of Marburg's economics in the field of economics is on institutional economics.

An integral part of the degree course is the MarSkills programme, in which you acquire attractive and future-oriented key skills (see www.uni-marburg.de/marskills).
