Target group

The degree course is aimed at graduates with a first professionally qualifying certificate of academic degree in degree programmes in the field of Theology, Ancient Sciences, Ancient History or subject-related study programmes and equivalent to a Bachelor's degree amounting to 180 credits at a university or equivalent higher education institution in Germany or abroad.

Admission requirements

A subject related requirement is proof of academic achievements in the field of Theological Studies in the scope of at least 120 credit points and a final grade of at least "good" Furthermore, the Latinum, Graecum and Hebraicum have to be proven. However, missing language skills can also be acquired during the degree course until the registration of the Master's thesis. A very good knowledge of English is also indispensable for the course. International applicants must provide proof of German language proficiency at the level of the DSH examination (min. level 2), the TestDaF (TDN 4x4) or a recognised equivalent.
