The Teaching Qualification for Primary Schools is the university component of teacher training and concludes with the First State Examination. The course prepares graduates to teach at primary schools. Students acquire the academic fundamentals for their professional role and are motivated and equipped to organise independent lifelong learning.

Admission requirements

The admissions requirements for the teacher training degree programmes with the academic degree 'First State Examination' is the general higher education entrance qualification (Abitur) or previous education recognised as equivalent (NOT the subject-specific higher education entrance qualification).

For the teaching subject French, certain language skills must be demonstrated before enrolment.
