Resources which are becoming more and more scarce, the shift towards alternative energy, climate change and its consequences for the environment, our society and our economy and industry in particular are all the constant source of new challenges. Information Engineering is considered to be one of the technologies which can contribute to the solution of these associated problems and can promote sustainable development. The inter-disciplinary Bachelor's degree course in Environmental and Business Informatics teaches and links to this the basic knowledge and methods of Computer Science, Environmental Sciences and Business Administration. The aim of the course is to prepare students for diverse tasks. They should be in the position to analyse complex economic and environmental problems and to develop computer-aided solutions using scientific methods.
