Modern dentistry sees itself as holistic oral medicine with a focus on the prevention, early treatment and follow-up care of oral diseases. It thus makes a decisive contribution to the overall health of patients. In the university-based degree course in Dentistry at the HMU Health and Medical University Erfurt, which has no admission restrictions, you will acquire multifaceted skills for multidimensional diagnostics and therapy in this field. You benefit from close cooperation between HMU Erfurt, the Helios Hospital Erfurt and selected dental practices. The degree course in Dentistry is divided into three sections, each ending with a state examination (Z1, Z2, Z3). It ends with the German state examination and entitles to a license to practice medicine.

Places of study: The Dentistry degree course take place at the Science and Health Campus of HMU Erfurt as well as in the emerging, state-of-the-art teaching clinic and with practice partners.

Medical Teaching Programme: The Medical Teaching Programme (MTP) is an integral part of the dental study concept at HMU Erfurt. The horizontal and vertical interlinking of the individual study sections provides consistent support for training and the acquisition of basic clinical diagnostic skills.

The selection procedure at HMU Erfurt determines the allocation of places on the degree course. We would like to get to know you personally during this process. After you have submitted your written application documents, you will have the opportunity to demonstrate your personal aptitude and motivation. The two-stage procedure consists of a written test and an individual interview including an integrated case simulation.
