The Bachelor´s degree course in "Social Work" can be studied as a full-time degree course with 6 semesters and as a dual or part-time course with 7 semesters.
The FFH gladly offers support in the search for a practice place (degree programme with vocational and academic elements).

With an apprenticeship as an educator and with state recognition, you can complete the part-time course in 5 semesters.

Admission requirements

Admission to the full-time degree course in Social Work is open to anyone who can demonstrate

in accordance with § 49 of the Higher Education Act (HG), can prove that they have a general higher education entrance qualification, entrance qualification for universities of applied sciences or previous education recognised as a subject-specific higher education entrance qualification and
a six-week pre-study work placement in a field of social work or complete it by the end of the first year of study at the latest. (Alternatively, a voluntary social year or a year’s internship as part of the vocational baccalaureate in a field of activity of social work can also be demonstrated.)

And for the degree programme with vocational and academic elements variant, an employment contract with a cooperating practice institution in the field of social work. With its large industry network, the Fliedner University of Applied Sciences can provide support in searching for a suitable practice partner.

The tuition fees for the study option with vocational and academic elements amount to EUR 498 per month.
The stated monthly tuition fees are valid for the first year and increase by 2% annually in the winter semester within the standard period of study.
