Admission requirements

One of the following requirements must be met for the dual degree in Social Work (BA):

– General higher education entrance qualification
- Entrance qualification for studies at universities of applied sciences,
- passed Master Craftsperson’s examination,
- secondary school leaving certificate (at least secondary school leaving certificate) and qualified completion of recognised vocational training (at least 3 years, final grade 2.5 or better),
- Completion of advanced continuing education of at least 400 hours of lessons, at a technical college or a university of cooperative education or administrative academy*,
- Final examination in a state-recognised occupation that requires formal training followed by at least two years of professional experience related to the degree course and passing of a separate university entrance examination*

AND

- A "dual study contract" with an industry partner

For degrees from non-German universities, the equivalence must be proven for admission.
