Annotation

The Bachelor’s degree programme is entitled "Theological Social Welfare Work and Missionary Catechesis". Based on a scientifically founded faith, it addresses current issues in the church and society. The two main focus areas of the Bachelor’s degree programme are social welfare work and catechesis. Of course, this requires theological and philosophical knowledge, but the Bachelor’s degree is not simply a study of theology. Both service to people (social welfare work) and the communication of faith (catechesis) are directed at people of our time. Therefore, particular attention is paid to the modern world and today’s society. For this reason, the Bachelor’s degree programme is interdisciplinary and takes a differentiated approach to various subject areas (with a focus on social welfare work and catechesis). Other subjects (e.g. Rhetoric, Sociology, Psychology and Charity Studies) enrich the varied study programme.
